Design an achievement
An achievement definition describes the learning or accomplishment an issuer awards. It is reused when issuing credentials, so write it for recipients and verifiers as well as for your internal team.
Create the definition
Section titled “Create the definition”In your organization, open Credential studio and choose New definition. The current editor supports:
- Name: the achievement title shown on public pages and credentials.
- Description: a concise explanation of the outcome.
- Criteria: how a recipient earns the achievement or how it is assessed.
- Skills or competencies: optional comma-separated skills.
- Standards alignment: optional references to an external framework, with its name, URL, and type.
- Badge artwork: choose a palette, shape, and symbol from the structured design controls. The preview updates as you edit.
Save the definition as a draft. Review its name, criteria, alignment links, and artwork before publishing.
Publish
Section titled “Publish”Select Publish when the definition is ready. Published definitions become available in the credential issuance form and receive a public achievement document with an SVG image for the selected badge artwork. The artwork design is locked after publication so its public image stays stable. Changes to achievement text do not rewrite previously issued signed credentials.
Current design limits
Section titled “Current design limits”The editor is structured rather than drag-and-drop. It uses a fixed set of accessible palettes, shapes, and symbols instead of arbitrary image uploads. Certificate template controls are separate from the badge artwork; Vitni provides a print-ready certificate page.
